Hertsmere Borough Council is working on producing it’s new Local Plan. The draft Local Plan identifies the former Potters Bar Golf Course as a site for development. With limited brownfield sites, a lack of development in Potters Bar and a significant need to deliver new homes across Hertsmere, part of the former Potters Bar Golf Course could help meet the need for new homes and facilities.
A public consultation is underway to share information about the draft illustrative plan. You can participate by either:
Visiting the public drop in event on Tuesday 24th June 2025 between 3.30pm and 8pm at Wyllyotts Theatre, Alexander Wilding room, Wyllyotts Pl, Darkes La, Potters Bar, EN6 2HZ and meet the team, review the exhibition boards and provide feedback.

It is an ideal site to help meet this need due to its central location, close to the high street and within easy reach of shops, bus facilities and the railway station and it offers the opportunity to create a highly sustainable and attractive neighbourhood which will add to the vibrancy of Potters Bar.
